Hosted by The Venue on Music Row at Hard Rock Hotel New York
You never know where this podcast is going—and neither do they. Known as Syd and TP, Syd Colson and Theresa Plaisance are best friends, former WNBA teammates, and now hosts who cannot, will not, stay on topic. After launching a hit TV show (which also didn’t stay on topic), they return their hilarious antics to mainstream audiences with their podcast, Unsupervised, bringing the same energy that fans have grown to love. Having recently extended into the comedy space beyond the podcast mic and WNBA broadcast, Syd and TP are taking their talents to stand-up. These two became faces of the league by putting the personality in personality hire, going from self-proclaimed bench warmers to taking over with a hot mic. Now, they’re finding out if it’s harder to win a W Championship or abide by the time limit on their set. For this special New York Comedy Festival show, they’ll each take the mic for a stand-up set before bringing the unpredictable energy of Unsupervised to the stage live. Sydney Colson is a basketball player, actor, comedian, writer, creator, podcast host and 2x WNBA Champion. Colson attended Texas A&M University where she helped the Aggies win the NCAA title during her senior year. She’s half the dynamic duo from The Syd & TP Show starring Sydney Colson and Theresa Plaisance, whose self-titled sketch comedy show premiered Fall 2023 under the Ryan Reynolds/Maximum Effort banner. The pair launched their podcast, Unsupervised with Syd & TP summer of 2025. Theresa Plaisance is a basketball player, actor, comedian, podcast host, 10+ year league veteran and 2022 WNBA Champion. Selected with the 27th overall pick by the Tulsa Shock in the third round of the 2014 WNBA Draft, TP is a powerful presence inside but can also score from the outside with nice touch and is one of the most versatile forwards in LSU history.
